Greeted with soft lavender scents and tinkling sounds of the garden fountain below, this is a room where the modern-day pilgrim can seek silence and refuge in the most beautiful of places. Its large fresco pays homage to the origins of the villa whereby medieval travellers on their way to Rome and the Holy Land sought recuperation and healing within Borgo Santo Pietro's walls before venturing to San Galgano. Infused with a warm light, this corner suite overlooks the formal gardens below to the west.
The energy of the room is fluid, giving a contented sense of space. Light wood-beamed ceilings, a French marble fireplace, a crystal chandelier, and palate of soft colours further add to the tranquil atmosphere. This serene haven beckons you to reflect in its two fire-side armchairs, unfurl your thoughts at its desk, sit and gaze from its window seats or unwind in its roll-top bath whilst enjoying the verdant views.
We will be opening our gates again on 3rd April 2019
