Adorned with its rich upholstery and decorous hand-painted mural of the life of San Galgano, this handsome room takes inspiration from the medieval knight-cum-hermit whose miraculous ‘sword in the stone’ is embedded at the nearby Chapel of Montesiepi. Located in the main villa, this light-filled room facing east towards the main entrance with its century-old olive tree, evokes quietude and reflection. Its limestone-clad bathroom creates a sense of natural restfulness in which to cloister oneself in the generously sized bath bordered by double windows to view the eastern fields beyond.

With its cozy reading nook and velvet cushions, two sitting chairs, antique writing desk and layers of rich texture, fabric and soft colour, the room gives a quiet sense of harmony.
