HEAD GARDENER

Located in the heart of Tuscany, Borgo Santo Pietro is a five-star, 200-acre boutique hotel and estate with a ‘farm to plate’ philosophy. It features 13 acres of gardens as well as a working farm, artisan cheese dairy and vineyards, and produces organic vegetables for its two Michelin-starred restaurants.

Role requirements

As Head Gardener you will be responsible for managing the gardening team. Extensive plant and landscaping knowledge is essential, as well as a good understanding of organic methods and sustainable horticultural techniques. The role requires excellent attention to detail, a good eye, and dedication to maintaining five-star standards. This is a very hands-on role, so expect to get your hands dirty! You will need to be able to collaborate effectively with farm and garden staff, multi-task, and take responsibility for unexpected situations when they arise. 

About you

We are looking for a confident, committed and hands-on candidate with excellent communication skills. Our gardens are an intrinsic part of the estate, and as Head Gardener you will be the public face of the gardens and often present the estate to guests. You need to be highly organised and physically fit, fluent in English and ideally possess good Italian skills. Italian lessons will be provided as part of your role if necessary.

  • Maintenance of systems, such as pumps and irrigation, swimming pools;
  • Supervising the care and maintenance of 13 acres of gardens and landscaped grounds.

CHEF DE RANG FOR MEO MODO

Situated in the heart of Tuscany, Relais Borgo Santo Pietro is a luxury five-stars boutique hotel and spa, featuring 20 individually styled rooms and suites, a Michelin-starred restaurant and elegant Trattoria, a holistic spa, an onsite cooking school, a natural skincare laboratory and 13 acres of landscaped gardens.

For our Michelin starred restaurant Meo Modo we have opened the selection for an experienced CHEF DE RANG to join our team for 2021 season. We would like to meet professionals with 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant, 4 o 5 luxury hotels or starred restaurants, with excellent interpersonal skills, courtesy and flexibility. A fundamental requirement for the position is the perfect and fluent knowledge of the English language, careful and orderly presence, high standards of service, customer orientation, attention to detail and good ability to work in a team. We offer a full time seasonal contract and full live-in with accommodation. We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie for our in-house traditional Tuscan Trattoria. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to consistently driving high standards and achieving service excellence. The candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant, 4 or 5 luxury hotels, he/she fluently speaks English and Italian, and these are mandatory. For this full-time position, we offer a seasonal contract from March 2020, full live-in with accommodation and meals if required. ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER TUSCANY

We are looking for two dedicated and passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager ready to embrace this opportunity in the heart of Tuscany for our two restaurants, our Michelin starred restaurant Meo Modo and our traditional Trattoria sull’Albero. The role primary responsibility is to assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the smooth operation of the restaurant and maintain high levels of service and excellence in customer service, overseeing day-to-day operations from breakfast to room service, fine dining and private events, supervise set-ups, breakdowns, staffing levels and quality of service, ensure that all tasks are well organized and that the expectations of host are exceeded. S/he must maintain and control a high level of exceptional guest service. We would like to meet a professional capable to communicate efficiently within the department and employee partners, to execute high level of service at all times further to support the manager in staff training.
