Reception

Borgo Santo Pietro, an exclusive luxury hotel in Tuscany, is looking for a Front of House receptionist.

Your duties and responsibilities will be split between the role of Front of House hostess dealing with our exclusive guests within the main villa and Back Office Support dealing with reservations and bookings. You will be meeting and greeting our visitors, showing them around the estate and briefly introducing them to their rooms. Being their first point of contact means you will be very presentable and friendly with a welcoming smile to match Borgo Santo Pietro’s friendly and homely atmosphere and surroundings.

Main responsibilities when “Front of House” include:

  • Welcoming guests in the reception area and telling them about the activities available on the grounds of Borgo Santo Pietro as well as such in the near vicinities, i.e local recommended restaurants (also making prior arrangements and reservations for such), local walks and sightseeing spots, wine tastings (helping in organising these in advance for our guests too), etc.
  • Dealing with all other guests requests as well as liaising with all other departments (restaurant, spa, etc) to ensure the smooth running and prompt communication of requests and tasks.

Main responsibilities when “Back Office Support” include:

  • Promptly replying to email availability requests, not allowing a delay of more than 24 hours in responding to guests.
  • Managing bookings on our system, checking in and checking out guests.
  • Answering Borgo Santo Pietro’s main line and distributing the calls to the relevant department via our switchboard system.
  • All other administrative tasks including the maintenance of an efficient and smooth functioning office.

Night Auditor

We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced night auditor to join our growing organization. In this position, you will keep financial records, prepare reports, update financial information, and assist with front desk duties. You should be familiar with accounting procedures. Experience with Protel is a bonus. This job requires precise attention to detail and customer service skills. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay
  • Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
  • Reconcile all accounts in a timely manner
  • Schedule guest wake-up calls and reservations for the following day
  • Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints as needed
  • Answer phones and place reservations

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality in a similar role in a 5 star hotel
  • Able to learn computer functions and other on-the-job skills
  • Strong eye for details
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Solid customer service skills
  • Fluent English is mandatory 
Head Gardener

Located in the heart of Tuscany, Borgo Santo Pietro is a five-star, 200-acre boutique hotel and estate with a ‘farm to plate’ philosophy. It features 13 acres of gardens as well as a working farm, artisan cheese dairy and vineyards, and produces organic vegetables for its two Michelin-starred restaurants.

Role requirements

As Head Gardener you will be responsible for managing the gardening team. Extensive plant and landscaping knowledge is essential, as well as a good understanding of organic methods and sustainable horticultural techniques. The role requires excellent attention to detail, a good eye, and dedication to maintaining five-star standards. This is a very hands-on role, so expect to get your hands dirty! You will need to be able to collaborate effectively with farm and garden staff, multi-task, and take responsibility for unexpected situations when they arise. 

About you

We are looking for a confident, committed and hands-on candidate with excellent communication skills. Our gardens are an intrinsic part of the estate, and as Head Gardener you will be the public face of the gardens and often present the estate to guests. You need to be highly organised and physically fit, fluent in English and ideally possess good Italian skills. Italian lessons will be provided as part of your role if necessary. 

Key tasks

  • Landscaping;
  • Pest and disease management;
  • Maintenance of systems, such as pumps and irrigation;
  • Supervising the care and maintenance of 13 acres of gardens and landscaped grounds.

Saporium: Chef de Rang

For our Michelin starred restaurant Saporium, we have opened the selection for an experienced Chef de Rang to join our team.

We would like to meet professionals with 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant, 4 o 5 luxury hotels or starred restaurants, with excellent interpersonal skills, courtesy and flexibility.

A fundamental requirement for the position is the perfect and fluent knowledge of the English language, careful and orderly presence, high standards of service, customer orientation, attention to detail and good ability to work in a team.

We offer a full-time seasonal contract starting April 2022 and full live-in with accommodation and meals if needed.

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie for our in-house traditional Tuscan Trattoria. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to consistently driving high standards and achieving service excellence. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant, 4 or 5-star luxury hotel, he/she must possess a fluent knowledge of written and spoken English as well as Italian.

A seasonal contract is offered according to the C.C.N.L. Tourism sector, accommodation and meals for non-residents, with an immediate start.
