Tom Byrne began his life as an artist 30 years ago, starting as an assistant in art schools and making art on commission in his home country of Ireland. At the time, life drawing was his favorite subject and he began painting and drawing at the United Arts Club and Trinity College. Byrne then moved to Paris, France where he worked and studied for 10 years.
After running two art galleries in Paris, he decided to continue his study in Florence, Italy where he met John Michael Angel of the Angel Art Academy in Florence. It was at this time he chose to focus his talents on landscapes, drawing and painting the human figure purely for pleasure. Byrne believes that landscapes are a celebration of natures diverse and complex beauty, ever-changing and vibrant even in the depths of winter.
